The area provides a wealth of outdoor activities and leisure facilities, including some of the best walking, golf, fishing, boating and riding anywhere in Scotland – and sensational adventure and water sports. There are many places of historical and archaeological interest to visit, a wide range of cultural experiences and excellent local cuisine to enjoy. And it’s an ideal base for touring, only 2 hours’ drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen, as well as being just 6 miles outside Dundee.

And for those looking for a leisurely 'time snack’, the area is tailor-made for long, leisurely, easy walks and some great pony trekking – and is an art lover's and photographer's paradise. See, smell, taste and feel the magic of this beautiful unspoilt area. Picnic by loch sides, or on the hillsides and mountain tops. We supply excellent picnic and packed lunches. Enjoy a leisurely game of golf, unhurried and not hassled by the queues and 5 hour rounds characteristic of many golf courses these days.
