Fishing at Kingennie

Kingennie has trout fishing (rainbow, blue, gold, brown) , with bait and fly-fishing on four well-stocked pools year-round. Catches vary according to the season and pool, from fighting trout of 1lb to 'old and cunning' fish of over 20lbs. The pools have fishing piers and some also have guard rails. Stocking takes place weekly, and details of latest catches are available on the Kingennie Fishings website. There is an on-going Fishing Competition with cash prize. Kingennie attracts around 10,000 anglers each year. Game-fishing can also be arranged on the rivers North Esk, Tay and Dee, and local lochs.
