Thank you for a successful family golf tournament. Everyone had a great time, really enjoyed the venue and the meal was super. The golfers found the course to be challenging yet manageable and had a fantastic game. I understand that next years’ organiser is keen to do it again at Kingennie. The staff were fabulous.

Just a short note to thank you for your involvement with our wedding reception on the 13th July. The staff at Forbes of Kingennie made the preparations stress-free and enjoyable. The tables looked great and the food and service were exactly what we had hoped for! We loved our ceremony beforehand and the photos, meal, and honeymoon all went smoothly.

It is a week since we returned from Kingennie and we along with our friends and relatives are absolutely raving about Forbes of Kingennie.

When our daughter Suzy announced her engagement she decided that she wished to be married by a minister but not in a church and she along with her fiance Craig decided they wished to be married at Kingennie and what a wonderful decision that turned out to be. We arrived on the 18th July for our stay we were amazed at the spaciousness of the lodge we had booked and the equipment level even down to a xmas tree which proved to be a huge talking point and ice breaker for all. Every single detail was met for the wedding which was noted checked and re-checked and Louise came across as a friend rather than seeing us as a business opportunity. The day of the wedding was wonderful with the effort which had gone into the function room absolutely superb which drew warm comments with the delivery of everything spot on. Many excellent comments have been passed on to ourselves regards the food and the manner of the delivery. A special mention should be made for Ali the wedding coordinator on the day who was absolutely fantastic and even tried very hard to keep my nerves at bay with some light hearted banter.

On saturday we hosted a barbecue for approximately forty people and again Forbes of Kingennie came up trumps with the supply and delivery of a gas fired barbecue as a courtesy. A very welcome touch.

During our time before departing on sunday 22nd we dined in your restaurant on three occasions one of these being thursday evening for a party of twenty where the food was served very quickly bearing in mind the size of our party and as always was served with a smile and the usual request was there anything else the staff could do for us. Special mention has to be for Carlo who could not do enough for us even down to looking for xmas crackers!!!

Additionally mention should also be made to Elizabeth who delivered my elderly and infirm in-laws back to there lodge and even walked my mother in law right to the door. Many thanks.

The care, attention and effort which the staff at Kingennie displayed during our short visit clearly displays the envious reputation which you so richly deserve.

Our members voted it the best yet and praised all aspects of your work, especially the food and the service. All of you have excellent customer presentation. I organise dinners at the House of Commons, at the Carlton Club in St James`s and at our  local Michelin-starred Manor House Hotel and Country Club at Castle Combe . I would like to thank you for the most wonderful weekend we have just spent at the Leannan Boat House. It puts self catering in a different light. The boat house is excellent and very well equipped to a high standard. We have visited 4 and 5 star hotels around the world, and they are not so nice as this boat house was. We were very impressed. I work for a large oil company in Aberdeen and have already been telling people what a lovely stress-free weekend we had in beautiful surroundings. Top marks to staff who were very helpful and couldn't have been nicer. We will definitely visit again. It’s nice to know a place that can be recommended to friends.

I would like to express the appreciation of our Club after our recent Fishing Outing (30^th Sept) to Kingennie. We found the facilities, the arrangements and catering absolutely first class and would like to thank all involved for making our Outing an outstanding success. In particular I would like to thank Colin and Grant for their assistance with the fishing arrangements and although the weather was rather windy at times we had a very successful day with our 24 anglers catching some 56 fish! We also appreciated the tackle prizes you donated to add to our evening presentation after dinner in the Inglesmaldie. We would have no hesitation in recommending your Resort or repeating the visit next year.

To the Forbes family, I write to say a huge thank you to you and the staff at Kingennie for a wonderful casting for recovery weekend, your hospitality was truly exceptional. I feel sure I can speak on behalf of the whole group when I say that the weekend from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Not to mention my two and a half pound catch, which tasted delightful when we had it for our evening meal on Monday. It gave us all a great opportunity to speak to like minded people and experience total escapism. We had lots of fun,laughter and of course the odd tear!
