Adventure means different things to different people. However here in Angus and Dundee, we have adventure breaks and holiday opportunities to suit all comers.
And Angus Council's Country Parks have something for all the family, including fly fishing, watersports [including: sailing, rowing boats, windsurfing, canoeing], children's fun days, guided walks and there are picnic areas, barbecues, trails, adventure play areas and much more besides.
Angus Council Countryside Ranger Service operates from 9am throughout the year.
Here are some highlights:-
Pleasant surroundings and safe access to placid water make the park ideal for watersports.
The Ranger Service runs a programme of courses from May to September, catering mainly for beginners. Full details can be found in the Country Park Diary.
Additional courses can be arranged for groups - please contact the Ranger Service.
Sailboards, sailing dinghies and kayaks are available for hire from May to September. It is recommended that all beginners take advantage of the courses on offer before hiring equipment.
Rowing boats can also be hired at certain times during the summer.
If you wish to launch your own craft, a permit must be obtained from the Ranger Centre.
Anyone wishing to participate should book in advance.
Newton Hill Country Sports, 10 miles from the hotel, provide you with a quite scintillating array of thrills and experiences and the very best of personal attention and pick and mix sports and outdoor activities for individuals, families, groups and corporate clients alike.
